MEMORY VERSE
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
– John 15:4
Yeshua said we must abide in Him to bear good fruit, and without Him, we can do nothing. Our fight against sin requires our dependence upon Yeshua. He is our advocate, He is the source of our strength, and He is our champion. But we must abide in him like a branch attached to the vine. If we are cut off from Yeshua, we will dry up and die. We need the life-giving connection to the vine if we want to grow and produce fruit.
As men, we want to try to fix things on our own strength, we don’t want help, we want to do it on our own. We want to be able to say, “I did this”, which is a prideful thing. We need to realize that any good thing we accomplish is because Yeshua helped us.
You can do nothing on your own, and this is especially true when it comes to your victory over sin. It doesn’t matter what sin you are dealing with. Your sin is too big for you to defeat on your own strength, but no sin is too big for Yeshua. If you want to end your struggle with sin, you must abide in Yeshua to gain the strength you need to defeat that sin.
Victory over sin is only possible when we abide in Yeshua.
Abiding in Yeshua, the Word, on a daily basis. Gathering the manna before the heat of the sun (business of the day) melts away the opportunity.
I just watched your three days and three nights video. I admit, I was one of those who thought I had ‘tested everything’ but you brought out some things I didn’t see. Thank you for your faithfulness. I was reminded of Proverbs 18:17 “the first one to plead his case seems right, until his neighbor comes and examines him” I’ll be adding that one to memory today as well.
