MEMORY VERSE
“Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”
– Psalm 141:2
Do you realize that your prayers are a type of Sacrifice that is offered up to God? That’s why men in the Bible would often pray at the same time the Temple sacrifices were offered.
Your prayers are beautiful to God, and they smell sweet to Him like the incense that was placed in the Temple. Prayer is pleasing to the LORD.
Prayer is not a duty to be performed, but rather a privilege to be enjoyed. God takes pleasure in our prayers, and we should likewise take pleasure in prayer.
God said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer”. It’s not called a house of singing, or a house of preaching, or a house of fellowship. Those are all great things, but our primary focus should be prayer because prayer is where we meet with God.
