Day 33 – Exalt Him

September 28, 2023

Series: Discipleship

Topic: worship

MEMORY VERSE

“You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.”
– Psalm 118:28

By definition, God is worthy of worship. If He is your LORD, you will obey Him. If He is your God, you will worship Him. If you do not worship and obey, you are simply giving lip service.

To praise God means to express joy, pleasure, approval, relief, admiration, and thanks for what He has done. He is worthy of praise because of what He has done.

To worship God means to express honor, admiration, love, devotion, and reverence because of who He is. He is worthy of worship because of who He is.
To exalt means to lift high, hold in high regard, and speak very highly about. To exalt God means to place Him above everything else. When we recognize who He is and what He has done, we exalt Him to the highest place of authority in our life.

The first commandment is “I am the Lord your God… you shall have no other gods before me.” The worship of God must be exclusive. No other gods are allowed. No idols are permitted. If you worship anyone or anything else, you are not worshiping God.

Yeshua said the greatest commandment is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30)

If you don’t give God your ALL in exclusive devotion and worship, you are not worshiping Him at all
