MEMORY VERSE
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
– Galatians 6:7
To say, “God is not mocked” means we need to take Him seriously. Our relationship with God is not a game, and it’s not something we do to impress other people. Our hypocrisy is a mockery and an insult to God.
Have you ever considered that when we sin, we are mocking God? Think about it, Christ died to save us from sin, and if we continue practicing sin while claiming to be saved, we are mocking Him.
Would you tease God, make jokes about Him, or talk badly about Him to other people? I certainly hope not! Yet, we do this when we willingly practice sin. When we do the things that He hates.
Don’t deceive yourself into thinking that your sin is not a big deal. If you are practicing sin, you are mocking God and you will reap destruction for your sin unless you repent.
The fear of the Lord brings victory over sin.
