MEMORY VERSE
“I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.”
– Psalm 101:3
When I read this verse, I can’t help but think about all of the wicked things people watch on television, movies, and on the internet. People are constantly placing wicked things before their eyes. Violence, crime, sex, infidelity, lies, profanity, and many other sinful things are depicted and glorified in the videos we watch and the things we read.
We need to be men who refuse to place such wicked things before our eyes. Our eyes are a portal to our minds, and we are influenced and affected by the things we watch.
This is one of the main reasons why so many men struggle with sexual sins because everything they watch is full of sexuality. Even commercials are sexualized because the motto of the marketing industry is “sex sells”.
If you want to gain victory over sexual sin, then stop watching and being entertained by sexual things. Set nothing wicked before your eyes.
