I have a question wich I want some advise on… wanted to ask it during the Q&A but I forgot to set the alarm clock (I am on the other side of the earth so when the Q&A goes Live it’s 3 or 4am here)….

The thing is that my grandfather died last Monday, and his cremation is next Saturday… I only have contact with 2 nieces from that side of the family… So no contact with the rest of the family…

But my question is: I know that most of the familymembers who will attend the cremation are Christians wich believe the lies wich we are taught by hollywood, just as I believed them a few years ago… Lex has opend my eyes to the truth now… But here is the thing… The family members believe that my grandfather died and went up to heaven and is now sitting on a cloud watching down…

I’m almost 100% sure that at least 1 family member will say that during the cremation… So my question is, How should I deal with that situation… because they believe that he is in heaven looking down and I believe what the Bible say’s (he’s asleep in sjeol)… But what I wan’t to know is, is it wise to start a discussion in wich I try to explain what the Bible teaches about this, with the possibility that people will get angry and I start a lot of unnessisary drama… or should I just keep my mouth shut to avoid confrontation/stress and just let them believe what they want to believe…

So anyone please advise me in what to do in this situation

    • Martin, I really love your posts as many of us have gone through the same situations as you. Some will quote Hebrews 12: 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses….
to imply what your family members believe. I am sure there are other misquoted scriptures as well.
When you are at the cremation I would be sensitive that most are there to mourn the loss of your grandfather. Their minds may not be open at the time to you explaining the truth.
Is it possible you could contact those family members after the service and explain what you know is true ?

      • first thanks for your reply, yeah during the service things where said that my grandfather was now in the arms of my grandmother in heaven… everybody was crying so I decided this was not the place or time to contradict their beliefs ( even if they are wrong)… instead I just posted biblical teachings of Lex on my FB page… then they can decide themselves wether they will watch it or not…

    • I’m sorry for your loss, Martin, and pray the Spirit comforts you and your family in this time. Lex did a video on this very topic. Look up “Biblical Comfort for those who Mourn” on the Unlearn the Lies channel. It’s okay to speak the truth of scripture about like after death. You will find that people will appreciate your honesty on the topic.

      • Thanks for your reply.. I couldn’t find that teaching so I posted the one about the truth about life after death, heaven and hell… I just searched again and now I found that video… I’ll post that on my FB as well… then they can decide themselves wether they want to watch it or not…
