Has anyone here read the Silmarillion or any of Tolkien’s other Middle-Earth books? (aside from Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit)

Not so much (he hated Allegory), more thematic. Although Tolkien did include Adonai by the name of Eru Iluvatar, Tolkien said himself that he really just gave a new name and that was it. He was actually great friends with the author of Narnia.

Are they supposed to be like Narnia (i.e.: with Christian metaphors in it?)
