MEMORY VERSE
“Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”
– Matthew 15:25
Calling out to the Lord for help is a type of worship. When we cry out to Him for help, we are recognizing our insufficiency and believing that He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20) Worship flows from the realization that “I am weak but He is strong.”
When we think “I can do this on my own”, we are acting in defiance toward God.
However, when we humble ourselves and realize, “I can’t do this without God”, we have entered into a place of worship. A man who worships God recognizes his need for God and he depends completely on God.
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
– 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
A man who worships God recognizes that his strength comes only from God. Understanding this will help you find victory.
