MEMORY VERSE


“Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”
– Romans 1:24-25

This chapter in Romans speaks about sexual perversions and equates them to worship of the creature rather than the creator. Sexual sin is equated to idolatry. Lust, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, pornography, pedophilia, incest, and any other sexual sin is a form of idolatry and worship of the flesh.

In first Corinthians, Paul explains that sexual sin defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body. This type of defilement is an abomination in the Holy Place. When we practice such vile and disgusting sins, we are desecrating the temple of God. It is no different than bringing idols into the Temple.

If you have participated in sexual sin of any kind, you have defiled the temple of the Holy Spirit and committed idolatry. Your temple must be cleansed and that filth must be removed for the Holy Spirit to dwell with you.

Stop worshiping the creature and dedicate your temple to the worship of the Creator only. If you want victory over sexual sin, then learn this lesson.
