MEMORY VERSE
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
– John 14:21
To manifest means to make known, to reveal, to make clear, or to appear. Do you want the Lord to manifest Himself to you? He said He will manifest Himself to those who obey Him.
He also explained that if you want to demonstrate your love for Him, you do so by your obedience to Him. Obedience is an act of loyalty, faithfulness, love, and commitment. Obedience also shows submission to His authority.
“If you love me, keep my commandments.”
– John 14:15
Do you love God? If so, then obey Him. The Bible says if you claim to know God but do not obey His commandments, you are a liar (1 John 2:4).
The consistent message of the Bible in both Old and New Testaments is that we show love to God by our obedience.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.”
– 1 John 5:3
